KazTransGas became a portfolio company of Samruk-Kazyna

KazTransGas JSC became an independent portfolio company of Samruk-Kazyna NWF JSC. Today, a Government resolution was adopted, and an agreement was signed between Samruk-Kazyna and KazMunayGas on the transfer of KazTransGas to the trust management of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund.

“Thus, the national company “KazTransGas” will not only transport gas, but also become a full – fledged National operator in the field of gas and gas supply, ” Akhmetzhan Yessimov said.

Recall that in November last year, at a meeting of the Board of Governors of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund, the Chairman of the Board, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, set the task of withdrawing KazTransGas from KazMunayGas into direct subordination to the Samruk-Kazyna Fund.

In January of this year, at an expanded meeting of the Government, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to create a national operator for gas exploration, production and transportation.
